My 2021 Goals and Intentions!

Happy 2021! For my first blog post of this new year, I will be sharing my 2021 goals and intentions! I will also be making a YouTube video for it as well, so stay tuned!


Starting off with my mental and physical health….



  • Start spreading more love to my friends and relatives!


I found that in 2020, I distanced myself a lot from my loved ones to focus on myself, but I think I need to reconnect and truly surround myself (safely) with the ones I love. I know that I will positively give and receive better energy.


  • Workout at least 4 to 5 days a week…


I have been working out with my friend, Alithea, doing mainly HIIT workouts, but I have been wanting to get back into running and getting outside more! Such as some hikes!


  • Try being raw vegan for AT LEAST a week!


I have always been intrigued to start the raw vegan diet, which is, if you didn’t know, eating foods completely raw or heated at temperatures below 104-118 degrees F. Maybe I will try it for a week, and make a video on it?


  • Take myself on more solo dates!



I started taking myself on dates at the end of 2020, as I have been a bit isolated from others. But, I truly loved it, so I am going to expand and do it more often. I would love to try new vegan restaurants, go thrifting, go on picnics with myself, and maybe spend a night alone in a hotel one time! I highly recommend anyone to take themselves on dates. It is one of the highest forms of self-care and leads to successful self-reflection.


  • - Try to meditate everyday!


I already meditate quite a bit, but I would love to try it everyday to expand my practice. I used to tell myself I didn’t have enough time to meditate. But even five minutes is good. Everyone has a little bit of time to meditate and re-center themselves.


  • - Go on more hikes!


As I have explained above, I would love to workout outside a lot more. But, living in Los Angeles, there are so many hikes I haven’t explored that are popular, that I would love to check out. Now is the time to do it…


  • Start taking dance classes again!


I used to take many dance classes before I attended my university, and then I took the opportunity to become a dance teacher to younger kids for Ballet and Hip-Hop. But, because of the pandemic, I have stopped dancing. I want to start taking online classes again, until the studios nearby open up again. It is my favorite form of exercise, so I plan on bringing it back.

  • Put my phone away before bed, and read instead…


I have a habit of looking at my phone for an extra thirty minutes to an hour when I am about to sleep, and I find it not healthy. I have so many books sitting on my shelf, and I would rather read one of those instead of looking at a screen before I doze off. If I am on social media before bed, I find that comparison culture gets the best of me, and I go to bed feeling bad about myself or distracting myself with something that isn;t teaching me anything positive. I have educational books that I have been reading lately, which I would much rather think about before sleeping.


  • Speaking of reading, I want to finish those books!


I am so grateful I received so many amazing books in 2020, but I didn’t have the chance to read them as often as I wanted to. I would love to finish as many of those books as I can, and fill my time reading rather than looking at my phone. A few books I plan on reading are: the Four Agreements, The Power of Now, and The Bell Jar as a fictional one I have always wanted to read. Maybe I will do a post on the books I recommend, or my reviews on each one!


In terms of my career…


  • I will get a job I know I will actually enjoy...


I have had so many jobs in the past that I didn’t enjoy and just did them for the money, and sometimes that is what needs to be done. But I told myself that I don’t want to waste my time doing a job I am not passionate about or that I don’t have an interest in. I will work hard and have the job I love, need, and am passionate about.


  • Make a short film!


I have always wanted to make my own short film, and I was thinking of doing this fun little film with a couple friends! Most of my friends are actors, as well as I am, and it would be useful to have the short film for our reels to show casting directors and agents in the future. Now is the time to create!


  • Try doing VoiceOver work!


I love recording my voice and doing different voices or accents, so why not try and send it out to get some possible work! Being in this pandemic, doing remote acting work is ideal right now, and doing Voice Overs at home with your own mic is becoming very popular. I would love to try it out, and see if I like it!


  • Stay consistent on my YouTube Channel and my blog…


I do have a YouTube channel, but I don’t post consistently. I would like to treat my YouTube channel like a part-time job, and post more consistently! Go and subscribe! I also would like to post more consistently on this blog, as well!


  • Do as many self-tapes and auditions as possible!


I would love to get some acting work this year, so I am going to work hard to score auditions and get as much acting work as possible, no matter what it is!


  • Continue my singing training…


I have been singing for about ten years, but once the pandemic hit, I stopped practicing as much. I want to continue practicing each and everyday, building a strong singing voice, so that once we are out of this pandemic, I can perform to the best of my abilities!


  • Save as much money as I can!


I am not very good at saving money, so this is something I need to really discipline myself with.


For my academics, as I am in my second year at my university…


  • Maintain a 4.0 for both my second semester of my second year and first semester of my third year.


It is easier said than done, especially in a pandemic, but I believe I can do it and think it will keep me motivated doing school work from home.


And last, but certainly not least, my hobbies or doing things for fun…


  • Take up photography!


I just got a brand new camera, and would love to take it out and just start taking pictures! Of nature, my friends, etc.


  • Get some new tattoos?



Yes, I already have 4 that I got in 2020, but I would love to get some more! I have a couple ideas…


  • Go on a solo road trip or with my best friend!


Right now, there isn’t much to do, but I would love to go on a road trip for a couple of days. I don’t know where, but it sounds fun!


  • Knit a beanie!


I know it is specific, but I have A LOT of yarn and knitting needles, and have always wanted to knit a beanie for myself or others. I can do it.

  • Make an art journal!


I just bought a blank journal for myself, so I was going to make little collages in it and put some memories in there! I think it would be a fun thing to create for the year, and I can look back on it and smile.


  • Start wearing WHATEVER you want without judgement!



I have always played it safe when it comes to fashion, so I want to start wearing the coolest clothing items I have and not care about what anyone else thinks!


  • FINISH ONE TREE HILL!


I have been watching One Tree Hill for too long now, but I am planning on finishing it this year, because I can’t start watching anything else until I finish what I am already watching….


Even though the last one was kinda silly, these are my 2021 goals and intentions! I WILL follow through with each one, and hope this was inspiring or entertaining for you! What are YOUR 2021 goals and intentions? Thanks for reading!
