I want to say something...

There is so much going on in the world. I have been observing and doing my part to the best of my ability, but there is only so much one person can do. So, I am planning on using my blog to share these topics. Sharing my views on these topics will hopefully help spread awareness and educate others on the severity of the issues currently happening in our society. I can't change everyone's mind on these topics, just do my best to state MY strong opinions to hopefully educate others. These are only a few topics that have been crossing my mind daily, and that I would like to talk about, so if I forget to mention some, I apologize.

We are still in a pandemic. We can’t pretend that we aren’t, just because we don’t want the virus to be here anymore. Please, for the sake of others, wear a mask, don’t attend social gatherings, and stay home as much as you can! So many people are scared, including me, and it will keep spreading if we act like the pandemic is just a hoax. People are dying and the more we don’t take our necessary precautions, the longer the virus will remain. Speaking as a girl from California, we are one of the hot spots, so I am a bit more nervous about it than other people in other states, but it is still a pandemic we are all a part of.

Black lives still matter, have always mattered, and will always matter. One week of posting on social media wasn’t enough. There is so much I can say about Black Lives Matter, but I will stick to my key points. Why is discrimination still occurring based on race, to this day? It makes me sick to think that someone with different colored skin is seen and treated differently. I am privileged. I am white. I have so many things in my life that I don’t even think about, that someone of a different race thinks about all the time. And I want to recognize that. I am happy that my generation is taking action in BLM, myself included. The posts on social media, the marches, the donations, the calls, and emails to the police, I was in awe. Such an inspiring time, not just for supporting BLM, but also supporting all minorities and discovering and learning even more. I always want to do more. Anything to help bring equality to all races, genders, sexualities, etc., because in the end, WE ARE ALL PEOPLE. So if you have any more recommendations as to what I can do as a privileged white woman, please message me. I am always open to corrections, learning more, taking more action, etc. We need everyone in our society to work for equality because we cannot stay silent anymore.

Global warming is real and happening. We need to acknowledge this and take action. We need to have a president that also acknowledges this and takes action. Yes, I am getting political because I won’t stay silent about it. Climate change is real and occurring, as well as the destruction of nature. There are so many small steps we can take that can help the environment such as using reusables, less driving, save water, save electricity, recycle, etc. Please do your research. If we don’t take action climate change will rise, and our planet won’t be happy anymore. Some need to understand that if our planet and environment aren’t happy, we won’t be happy, in simple terms. Everything has a cause and effect, so be cautious of your actions!

These are only a few topics I want to mention that are current. Be patient with yourself and others in this tough time. It is important for everyone to be more aware today and in the future. Every action matters. We are all in this together, so we have to act like it and take it seriously. I hope everyone has a great day, and you do what you can for society today. Thank you for listening.
